We’re delighted to share these exciting images of the Patuxent Commons community!

AUSOM has led the effort to develop Patuxent Commons as a partial solution to the housing crisis facing adults with autism and other disabilities in Howard County.

Our members have provided crucial seed funding and the input needed to bring this initiative forward from a promising idea to a viable concept. After a competitive selection process, Mission First Housing Group was selected to serve as the project’s developer. Earlier this year, Mission First secured an outstanding, transit-accessible location for the project in the Hickory Ridge neighborhood.

These preliminary images were designed by Moseley Architects, who’ve been working with us on this effort for the last three years. Click here for a fact sheet with all the details about Patuxent Commons.
