Waiver for Children with Autism Spectrum Disorder — AMENDMENT APPLICATION
Request for Public Comment
The Maryland Department of Health (MDH) will submit a 1915(c) Home and Community-Based Services Waiver amendment application for the Waiver for Children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (Autism Waiver) to the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) to amend the Autism Waiver effective July 1, 2023. The Autism Waiver provides various home and community-based services to support program participants and enable them to remain in their homes and communities. All services must be provided in settings that meet federal home and community-based settings requirements.
A copy of the Autism Waiver amendment will be available on the MDH site at: https://mmcp.health.maryland.gov/waiverprograms/Pages/Home.aspx on June 27, 2023. Public comments can be emailed to AutismWaiver.msde@maryland.gov or mailed to MSDE Autism Waiver Comments, 200 West Baltimore Street, 9th Floor, Baltimore, MD 21202. Public comments can be submitted from June 27, 2023 through July 26, 2023.
