This evening, April 4, 2022, the Howard County Council will meet and vote on CR29, legislation that provide the necessary approval for Patuxent Commons, the first affordable, inclusive housing development of its kind in Howard County. We need a majority of the five-member Council to support CR29 for it to advance.
This is a historic moment for the cause of affordable, inclusive housing in Howard County. Here’s how you can help:
- If you haven’t already done so, please contact the Howard County Council to let them know of your support for CR29. You can send email them at [email protected]
- We’re asking any and all advocates who can attend tonight’s Council meeting to join us on site at the Howard Building at 7:30pm. The session begins at 7pm but CR29 and a related measure, SAO3, are scheduled on the agenda for later so a 7:30pm arrival will be time for all of us to meet up in front of the building, walk in together, and be present for when the vote takes place.
- If you can’t make the hearing in-person, join us virtually here.
And in case you missed it, check out this excellent WBAL news segment about Patuxent Commons that ran last week and the Baltimore Sun article about our March 21 Council hearing.
Thank you for your support for this cause. Let’s make history tonight!
