Homeschooling Children with Special Education Needs: Important Considerations

Join the Autism Society of Maryland and Howard County SECAC on July 22nd at 2pm for this timely presentation on homeschooling–specifically, what it is and what it isn’t–for parents, guardians and caregivers to become informed about:

* Differences between traditional homeschooling and teaching children at home during the pandemic * Eligibility requirements for home and hospital instruction

* State and county requirements for homeschooling

* Important considerations in the decision to withdraw students with IEPs from public school

* The impact on services such as the Autism Waiver and the transition process
