Join us Tuesday, February 9, from 6:30-8:00pm for the webinar, Extended School Year (ESY): What to Expect in 2021, sponsored by the Howard County Public School System’s Department of Special Education (HCPSS-DSE), Special Education Citizens Advisory Council (SECAC), and Autism Society of Maryland (HCAS). The webinar, which is part of the Parent Empowerment Series, will take place in two parts on February 9.

PART 1 – 6:30pm to 7:15pm

What is ESY, Who is Eligible, and What are the Plans for 2021?

Part 1 will be a presentation of information on:

*  Extended School Year (ESY) services offered through HCPSS
*  Eligibility criteria
*  The timeline for ESY eligibility meetings and determinations
*  ESY 2021 details – when, where, how (hybrid or in-person)

Parent Participation in ESY Planning / Q&A

Part 2 will offer tips to help parents prepare for ESY discussions, including:

* How to prioritize goals
*  Questions to ask during the ESY meeting
