The CDC has released data on Autism prevalence indicating a national rate of 1 in 44 or 2.3% (up from 1 in 54) and 1 in 49 or 2% here in Maryland (up from 1 in 52) among 8 year-olds. The data is based on studies in 11 areas around the nation.
