988 National Suicide Prevention Lifeline Opens July 16th. This is a nationwide 3-digit dialing code for Americans in crisis to connect with mental health crisis counselors. The 988 lifeline will accept calls and texts from anyone who needs support for a suicidal, mental health and/or substance use crisis.
