The Reason I Jump (Film & Panel Discussion)
October 20, 2021 @ 6:00 pm - 8:30 pm
Join AUSOM on October 20th at 6:00pm as we co-host a showing of the film The Reason I Jump, part of the 2021 Horizon Foundation Mental Health Film Festival! A panel discussion will follow at 7:30pm. The film festival runs October 17-22 and features films with a focus on mental health.
The Reason I Jump is an extraordinary film based on the best-selling novel by Naoki Higashida and written when he was only 13 years old. It takes viewers on a sonic dive into the interior worlds and fascinating daily experience of the lives of five non-verbal autistic youth people. The film opens a window into an intense and overwhelming, but often joyful, sensory universe, a rich tapestry that leads us to Naoki’s core message: not being able to speak does not mean there is nothing to say.
Tickets are FREE, however registration is required. CLICK HERE
