SUMMARY:Disability Pride Outside - 35th Anniversary of the ADA
DESCRIPTION:Celebrate Disability Pride Month with Montgomery Parks and AUSOM \nJoin Montgomery Parks\, the Autism Society of Maryland\, and other community partners for a family-friendly celebration of Disability Pride Month and the 35th Anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). This inclusive event is open to all and will feature a variety of adaptive outdoor activities at Black Hill Regional Park. \nEvent Details: \n\n\nKayaking (ticketed – please register for only one timeslot) \n\n\nPontoon boat tours (ticketed – please register for only one timeslot) \n\n\nFishing (ticketed – please register for only one timeslot) \n\n\nAdaptive mountain biking demonstrations \n\n\nBirding \n\n\nSelf-guided hiking \n\n\nPicnicking \n\n\nBlack Hill Discovery Center \n\n\nTo ensure accessibility\, free kayak equipment and pontoon boat spots are available on a first-come\, first-served basis for individuals with disabilities. Additional boat rentals will be available through Black Hill Boats. \nAccessibility features include: \n\n\nWheelchair-accessible shuttle cart \n\n\nAccessible parking \n\n\nSign language interpretation \n\n\nSensory retreat tents \n\n\nOnsite support staff and volunteers \n\n\nPlease note: The event takes place near a body of water.
