DESCRIPTION:THE AUTISM CONVERSATION: Whether\, When and How to talk with your child about being Autistic\nA roundtable discussion of Autistic adults facilitated by Carly Ott \nHCAS’s Monthly Speaker Series event in September will feature a panel of Autistic adults who will discuss how they learned about their Autism. They will share what they benefited from most\, what they wished their parents had done differently\, and what challenges they may have faced due to delayed diagnosis or “masking.” This is a must attend for every parent! \nThe facilitator\, Carly Ott\, is an Autistic self-advocate\, mother\, and VP at a Fortune Top 50 company. She is a member of the Autism Society of America’s board of directors\, and chairs its Council of Autistic Advisors. Carly volunteers her time for multiple Autism nonprofits\, helping women connect with Autism resources and improving employment outcomes for Autistic people.
