DESCRIPTION:The popular\, annual Autism Society of Maryland (AUSOM) gathering is back! We welcome individuals and families of all ages and abilities for a fun evening of swimming and pizza. \n\nDate: Friday\, July 31\, 2026\nTime: 5:30 PM – 7:30 PM (Pizza & drinks served around 6:00 PM)\nLocation: MacGill’s Common Pool (10025 Shaker Dr\, Columbia\, MD 21046)\nCost: Pay-What-You-Can (Suggested donation: $5/person)\n\nEvent Details & Safety\n\nSensory-Friendly Staff: Lifeguards on duty are provided by the Columbia Association and have received Autism 101 Training from AUSOM.\nFood & Drink: Includes 2 slices of pizza and drinks per guest. Please indicate during registration if you require gluten-free options.\nWaivers: Both AUSOM and Columbia Association waivers must be signed (at registration and at the pool\, respectively).\nEntry Requirement: Please bring your confirmation email (printed or on your phone) for entry.\n\nGive Back: Food Pantry Drive\nHelp us support the autism community! We are collecting donations for the AUSOM office Food Pantry. Please consider bringing: \n\nNon-perishable food items; Personal care products; Diapers (all sizes and ages); Household cleaning products\n\nRegistration & Waitlist Information\nRegistration is mandatory and space is limited to 200 participants. Please only register members of your immediate household. \n\nWaitlist: If the event hits capacity before July 29 at 5:00 PM\, please contact the AUSOM office to be placed on the waitlist.\nCancellations: If your plans change\, please let us know so we can open up spots for families on the waitlist.\nWeather Policy: In case of severe weather\, notifications will be sent via email and text.
