Please use the link to register.  \nNew Location: Guilford Park High School 8500 Ridgelys Run Road\, Jessup\, MD 20794 \nEVERYONE feels anxiety when they see that police car light up behind them and may worry about what will happen next. \n \nView the 1-hour webinar and then practice being pulled over with Howard County Police Officers. This program is offered to: \n\nLicensed drivers with a developmental disability\nDrivers with a learner’s permit with a developmental disability\nPassengers with a developmental disability that might be anxious about traffic stops\n\nParticipants will receive: \n\nA printed copy of “PFA Tips: What to Do During a Traffic Stop”\nAn envelope which can be used to hold the person’s registration card\, insurance card\, disclosure card\, and a copy of the PFA Tips article with tips about autism for the officer on the back side\nA laminated card (with clips) to attach to the driver’s visor with the top five instructions of what the driver needs to remember to do during the traffic stop\nAn Autism or Developmental Disability disclosure card\n\nFree to attend; Registration for a practice time required  \nPresented by Pathfinders for Autism in partnership with the Howard County Police Department and the Autism Society of Maryland \nCLICK TO REGISTER

DESCRIPTION:Join us for this FREE session! \nCharting the LifeCourse: THE GOOD LIFE VISION \nSunday\, October 20\, 2024 from 9:00-11:30AM\nIn person \n\n\nIntroduction to Charting the Life Course Framework\, Tools\, and Resources \nThe “Good Life Vision” \nThe Charting the LifeCourse (CtLC) framework was created to help individuals and families of all abilities and all ages develop a vision for a good life\, think about what they need to know and do\, identify how to find or develop supports\, and discover what it takes to live the lives they want to live. \nThe “Good Life Vision” \nLife is a journey where each stage of life impacts the other and different life experiences bring us closer or further away from our “good life.” In the LifeCourse framework\, we will use the term “life trajectory” to describe the path the journey takes. It helps us to think about what has helped or hindered us in the past and what might work or may get in our way moving forward. The higher our expectations\, the more opportunities and experiences we will have\, and the closer we will get to achieving our goals and dreams. Every life stage is connected\, and what happens in each\, affects all the stages to come.
