DESCRIPTION:April is Autism Acceptance Month! Throughout the month\,the Autism Society of Maryland (AUSOM) held multiple events and fundraisers  to #CelebrateDifferences\, recognizing the multitude of experiences within the Autism community. \nAcceptance creates a world where everyone in the Autism community is connected to the support they need\, when they need it. And by everyone\, we mean every unique individual. \nFrom Autistic individuals who require 24/7 lifetime support services and their caregivers\, to Autistic individuals living fully independent lives\, Acceptance\, Inclusion and Connection are critical to ensuring everyone in the Autism community can access what they need to live to their fullest. \nCLICK HERE for more information on Autism Acceptance Month Events! \n  \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n¡Abril es el Mes de la Aceptación del Autismo! A lo largo del mes\, la Autism Society of Maryland (AUSOM) organizó múltiples eventos y actividades de recaudación de fondos para #CelebrarLasDiferencias\, reconociendo la multitud de experiencias que existen dentro de la comunidad del autismo.  \nLa aceptación crea un mundo en el que cada persona de la comunidad del autismo está conectada con el apoyo que necesita\, en el momento en que lo necesita. DESCRIPTION:RAIN DATE! \n¡Fecha alternativa en caso de lluvia! \nIf we get rained out on Saturday April 11\, we will hold this event on Sunday\, April 12th. \nCelebrate Autism Acceptance Month with us at Autism in the Park!   \nSunday\, April 12\, 2026/Abril 12\n10:00 AM – 2:00 PM\nLaura’s Place Playground\, in the North area of Blandair Regional Park\nColumbia\, MD \n\n\nJoin us for this FAVORITE Autism Acceptance Month Event! Autism in the Park is FREE for all attendees and allows family and friends to enjoy opportunities to visit with first responders\, elected representatives\, learn about the Autism community\, enjoy interactive play\, entertainers\, face painting\, music and food truck.\n\n\n\nPresented by: Autism Society of Maryland and Howard County Department of Recreation and Parks.   \n\n\nNote on Parking:  There is limited parking in the lot adjacent to the event; however\, there will be shuttles run by HC Dept. of Recreation and Parks from the other parking lots in Blandair Park. \n\n\n\nPlease follow the signs on where to park and pick up the shuttle bus!\n\n\n\nBlandair Park Map \n\n\n\n\nBlandair Park – North Area\n\n\n\n\nCLICK HERE for more information on Autism Acceptance Month Events! \n¡Únase a nosotros en este evento FAVORITO del Mes de la Aceptación del Autismo!
