DESCRIPTION:Help us kick off Autism Acceptance Month on April 13\, 2023 with Autism in the Park!   \n10:00 AM – 2:00 PM\nLaura’s Place Playground\, in the North area of Blandair Regional Park\nColumbia\, MD \n\n\n\nEnjoy opportunities to visit with first responders\, elected representatives\, learn about the Autism community\, enjoy interactive play\, entertainers\, face painting\, music and food trucks. FREE to attend. \nSponsored by: Autism Society of Maryland\, Howard County Department of Recreation and Parks. \nCommunity partners joining us are Howard County Police Department\, Howard County Public Schools\, The Arc Maryland\, Yoga Center of Columbia\, SPIRIT Club\, Equipment Connections for Children\, Howard County Fire & Rescue. \nThe park is located at 5750 Oakland Mills Road in Columbia\, MD and the event will be held in the North Area. \n\n\nNote on Parking:  There is limited parking in the lot adjacent to the event; however\, there will be shuttles run by HC Dept. of Recreation and Parks from the other parking lots in Blandair Park.  Raindate is April 14\, 2024.
